About us

Join us for a social evening hangout in Vancouver! Whether you're a local or just visiting, come connect with like-minded individuals in a charming and picturesque setting.

Purpose of the group: The purpose of the group was to help people create more meaningful connections here in the "No Fun" city of Vancouver. I wanted for people to make long-term friends that show up, plan events together, will go to each others birthday parties, watch sports/attend concerts together, will text each other back, spend holidays together, and stuff like that to build a community of friends. Thank you for taking part in this goal of mine.

2 Types of events:
Regular Sundays: Our weekly Sunday event is for someone that wants a group of people to connect with week to week. Our location is at Kits Beach where we watch the Sunset in Summers and at Commercial Drive, where we meet the rest of the (rainy) year.

Special Events: These are one offs or Holiday events that we host a few times per year. Examples include our very successful Valentines Day and New years events, pub crawls, karaoke, and more. Typically special events are hosted at the Morrissey in Downtown Vancouver.

SAFETY RULES: This group is intended to be a safe, comfortable space to do group activities, and socialize with people. This is not a dating meetup group. Please do not hit on people (especially when they are new). Please only offer your number to people, don't ask for theirs. That way it's their choice if they would like to contact you. We also do not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia or other forms of discrimination as well. If you are uncomfortable and feel someone has broken these rules, please contact Michael the lead organizer and we will ask the perpetrator to leave the group.

RULES AROUND BUSINESS DEALINGS: We have a zero tolerance policy for members that intend to use this group for things like pyramid schemes or other financial/business related motives. Members will be asked to leave in the event that this behavior is reported to the organizers multiple times.

RSVP Rules: Do not RSVP unless you are 100% sure you are going. If you violate this and do not show up, the organizers will remove you from future events that are hosted.
Regular and consistent attendees will be prioritized over newcomers and people who no-show.

Furthermore, if you are marked as no-show/missing without any notice 3 times, you will be removed from the group.
Finally, if you miss an event where the organizer has had to rent a room or pay some form of commitment fee you will be removed from the group.
