Ghost Tour of Manitou Springs

Details

Join us for an evening stroll through the historic area of Manitou Springs in the shadows of Pikes Peak, where you'll hear some ghost stories, pass local haunts, and learn of their historic, if not twisted, background. We'll be visiting some of the oldest buildings of the town, where blood was spilled from gruesome robberies, questionable suicides, native curses, and a mad doctor who ran crazy experiments involving mummification. Not to mention the stories behind Emma Crawford and her family holding seances connecting them to the spirit world.

Manitou Springs is known as the "Witch Town" of Colorado, and we will share with you the mystical and bewitching stories of why this is so. We hope to see you there!

We will meet at the Wheeler Town Clock in the middle of town. Parking is free after 6 pm, along the streets and within the parking lots. Traffic can be unpredictable so best to plan your arrival half an hour before the tour starts. There will be no bathroom breaks during the tour but nearby public restrooms are available before we start the tour.

The tour will take place at sunset so dress according to the weather. No doubt it will be chilly and we'll be outside for the whole of the tour. Wear warm clothes and comfortable shoes. We'll be walking for about half a mile, going uphill for some of it so the tour will last about two hours. Because it is dark, you may bring your own flashlight or something to help light your way through the town.
