I wanted to see sheep shearing for ages. This is our once a year chance: to learn about 19th century wool production from sheep to shawl while enjoy a day filled with family fun, games and music!
Watch the sheep flock receive their annual shearing, try your hand at spinning and weaving, and watch out interpreters demonstrate the wool making process from sheep shearing to carding and beyond. You’ll even be able to purchase the fleeces produced!
Sheep shearing ends at 4 pm, I’d want to eat at downtown Lee’s Summit afterwards.
Ticket is $8 for adults, $4 for youth and seniors. I’ll bring my son.
