What we’re about
This group is for music makers here in Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas. I created this group out of a desire to bring music makers, audio engineers, DJs, promoters and producers of any genre together to share each other's knowledge of the struggle to be heard and ways we can all improve our own individual tactics in that endeavor.
I think that all of us have unique perspectives on the best way to gain more exposure for ourselves and our art. I think we can all learn from each other's experiences in performing, recording, writing and marketing. Let's face it, this is a really small town and I think we need all the help we can get by learning from one another, but that is not the only reason for this group. I think creative people should surround themselves with other creatives, and that in that way we can inspire one another and just make new friends if nothing else. I see this being a really good opportunity for networking and even musical collaboration, but who wouldn't like to just sit around and have a few beers with other like minded people?
