Welcome to Japan Outdoor Adventures – a community for nature lovers, explorers, and anyone who enjoys the great outdoors! Whether you're into hiking rugged mountain trails, camping under the stars, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, or simply discovering Japan’s beautiful landscapes, this group is for you.

Mt.Omine (Mt.Hakkyo) can be climbed as day trip. Total days can be reduced by 1 day or we can cover Mt.Ibuki on the way back to Tokyo making it as 5 Hyakumeizans.*

Let’s spend this Golden Week taking on a once-in-a-lifetime hiking adventure—covering four of Japan’s iconic 100 Famous Mountains! This is a full 8-day road trip from Tokyo to Kansai and Shikoku, packed with lush forests, rugged ridgelines, spiritual peaks, and epic camping vibes.
We’ll be road-tripping in a 5-seater car, hiking, camping, and enjoying beautiful spring mountain views together. Expect stunning summits, remote trails, and cozy evenings under the stars!
We'll travel from Tokyo and hike:
🌲 Mount Odaigahara (1,695m) – mysterious forests and panoramic ridges
🛕 Mount Ōmine (1,719m) – spiritual mountain with overnight stay in a mountain hut
🗻 Mount Tsurugi (1,955m) – the mystical sword peak of Shikoku
⛩️ Mount Ishizuchi (1,982m) – western Japan’s highest summit!

Day 1 (Apr 26): Depart Tokyo (Shin-kiba station) early → Drive to Mount Odaigahara → Camp
Day 2: Hike Mount Odaigahara
Day 3: Day hike to Mount Ōmine
Day 4 : Drive to Mount Tsurugi base - Hike Mount Tsurugi
Day 5: Hike Mount Ishizuchi
Day 6: Shikoku sightseeing/Begin return drive
Day 7: Optional Mt.Ibuki or return to Tokyo
Day 8: (May 2/3): Sight seeing on the way/Arrive back in Tokyo
▲ Estimated Cost
¥23,000 per person approx ( We will split the total cost equally - No Organizer fee)
(Includes: car rental, gas, toll)
💡 Does not include food, ropeway fees (Tsurugi/Ishizuchi), hostel or hut fees if needed
▲ Accommodation Plan
⛺ We'll try to camp as much as possible – I’ll bring 2~3 tents. Please bring your own sleeping bag and mats.
🏠 If camping isn’t possible, we’ll stay at simple hostels or guesthouses.
🏡 Mount Ōmine involves an overnight in a mountain hut.
🛏️ Need a sleeping bag? You can rent one in advance from outdoor rental shops like Yamarent.com.

- Hiking boots & clothes (layers for sun, wind, and cold)
- Backpack, rainwear, gloves
- Sleeping bag (or rent one via Yamarent)
- Power bank, headlamp
- Lightweight meals/snacks
- Water bottles & refill option
- Onsen set: towel, toiletries, spare clothes
- Offline maps (YAMAP, etc.)
- Emergency kit / meds

⚠️ Golden Week is peak season – things may not go perfectly. Flexibility, teamwork, and good vibes are essential!
