Hello! I'm Aki, an owner of Manga Dojo Tokyo.
Are you fascinated by Japanese pop culture? Whether you're into manga, anime, cosplay, or Japanese sake, this group is for you!
We host hands-on, immersive events including:
★Manga workshops taught by professional manga artists
★Cosplay makeup sessions and photo shoots with real-life cosplayers
★Japanese sake tasting events
★Meet-and-greets with professional manga artists, illustrators, and animators
★Coming this summer: Voice acting experiences with real voice actors!
Each event is conducted in Japanese with English interpretation, making it perfect for:
・Japanese locals looking to meet international friends 🌏
・Foreigners in Japan eager to dive into authentic pop culture 🎌
Why we started this group:
There are still few places where people can learn about Japanese pop culture in English from true professionals. That’s why we created this community—so everyone can enjoy real experiences directly from manga artists, cosplayers, and voice actors.
All events take place at Manga Dojo Tokyo, just 5 minutes from Ikebukuro East Exit.

このグループを立ち上げた理由：
プロから英語で日本のポップカルチャーを学べる場所は、まだまだ少ないのが現状です。だからこそ、漫画家、コスプレイヤー、声優などのプロを講師に迎え、リアルな体験ができるコミュニティを作りました。
すべてのイベントは、池袋東口から徒歩5分の Manga Dojo Tokyo にて開催されます。

Hi! I’m Kazuo Maekawa, a manga artist with over 27 years of experience. My works, Ace Attorney and Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, have been translated and sold worldwide. I teach at the Japan Manga Art Academy, and in 2021, I founded an online manga education group that attracted 3,000 children from over 100 countries., I’m currently working on five manga projects.

- 短いストーリー漫画を描く
これらを2時間で行います。
講師：前川一夫（Kazuo Maekawa）— 現役のプロマンガ家
マンガ家の前川かずお先生が講師を務めます。27年以上の経験があり、代表作『逆転裁判』や『逆転検事』は世界中で翻訳・販売されています。日本マンガ芸術学院で教えており、2021年には100か国以上・3,000人の子どもたちが参加するオンラインマンガ教育グループを設立しました。
過去にはハワイに滞在し、日米協会と歴史マンガプロジェクトを共同制作。現在は東京を拠点に5つのマンガプロジェクトを進めながら、マンガを職業として発展させる活動も行っています。
英語の通訳がつくので、英語を学びながらマンガも学べます。楽しく英語を学びたい子供から大人までウェルカムです！
