Comanche Lookout Park hike/walk - then Stray Grape Urban Winery

Details
Let's start the day with a scenic hike (more like a brisk walk) at Comanche Lookout Park followed by a little wine tasting reward at the Stray Grape winery. We will meet at the parking lot of the Julia Yates Semmes Library at 15060 Judson Road near the playground and then head up the Library loop. We will proceed to the top of Comanche Lookout where the medieval looking tower stands and then head to the highest point where you can see all the way to the Tower of the Americas. A spectacular view and the 4th highest point in Bexar County! On the way down, we will take the Comanche loop around to connect to the Library loop to head back. This is a casual hike, not strenuous at all and the most scenic route I know - less than 2 miles in all.
Then let's reward ourselves with a little wine tasting at the Stray Grape Urban Winery (8.5 miles from park). The Stray Grape brings international wines and the wine making experience to you. They have over 50 different wines to choose from from all over the world. The tastings are $18 for four 3 ounce pours. Glasses of wine are $8.00 all day on Sippin Saturdays. Autumn is awesome and will take good care of us. If you prefer to forego the hike part and just meet for wine, we should be at Stray Grape between 12:30 and 1:00 PM. The address is 16630 San Pedro Avenue, next to Airtopia. Let me know if that is your plan.
If you like what you taste, you can join their wine club and get 2 bottles of wine every month and great discounts on 6 packs of wine or cases along with other perks. You can even make your own batch of wine there with your own custom label.
