Ciò che siamo
Welcome to We Speak English Pisa, a group which first started with physical meetups in Pisa, Italy in 2011 and has today grown to be a community of friends from over 140 countries around the world. Our daily meetings are free for all to attend, giving you a chance to speak to an international group of people, form meaningful friendships and build global networks! If you want to get Cambridge Certified in English or want to build your organisation’s capacity, speak to our team and we have the solutions you are looking for.
Our meetings: Our meetings are free and open spaces led by experienced Chat Gurus who lightly moderate the conversation and create a friendly atmosphere for YOU to talk and share. We have interesting topics every day and breakout rooms in case you want to speak in a smaller group. It is a safe space and if you are more comfortable just listening at first, feel free to do so.
Everyone is welcome! Whether you're new to learning English or already speak it well, come join us for a chat. Let's learn, laugh, and become globally fluent together!
Every meeting is different and you can never know if you might join our German friend for a walk in Bavaria, our Bangladeshi friend for a wedding in his neighbourhood or perhaps a walk on the beach with our friend from Brazil. However, there are some things which we can assure you of:
Making Friends: Meet people from all over the world who are curious and friendly, just like you! You'll have the chance to make new friends and build connections with people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
English Practice through Friendly Chats: If you want to improve your English, you're in the right place! We'll talk together in English and you can practice speaking and understanding with global language with friendly people. Our Gurus lead you through easy and enjoyable conversations where everyone can join in, learn and teach friends from around the world.
Daily Learning: Every day, fun activities help you improve your language skills, soft skills, awareness and become globally fluent. That means you'll learn to communicate better with people from different countries and cultures.
Discovering Cultures: Explore the world from the comfort of your home! Through conversations, stories, live-streaming, photos and videos, discover different countries and become a global citizen.
Ready for the learning experience of a lifetime? Sign up now and be part of We Speak English Pisa! Let's explore the world and make new friends, one chat at a time.

Some stories (our method works!):
Aliae from Morocco went from not being able to put a sentence together to near fluency in six months by attending the meetup regularly. Not only is she now able to use English at her workplace and interact with international clients, she is a valued member of our community with close friends from around the world.
Mr. Samson from Tajikistan knew how to speak English but was insecure when speaking with people from different countries in a professional setting. After attending our meetings for a while, Mr. Samson gained a lot in confidence and was able to take up new opportunities including representing Tajikistan Central Bank at opportunities in different countries!
Avi has been living in London for most of his life now and is extremely well spoken, erudite even! He comes to our meetings to socialise, make new friends and learn about other countries. Recently we joined him on his holiday in Thailand from where he livestreamed some of his travels!
