Hike Ramapo State Forest

Starting from Back Beach Park, we will head south to make a loop on the South Ridge Trail. Then we'll head back north to make another loop starting along Ramapo Lake, and returning along Wanaque Ridge. Distance will be about 8 miles.

From I-287, Exit 55: Go north on Ringwood Ave (Rt-511) about 0.8 miles to 2nd Ave. (light) on the right. Follow 2nd Ave. eastward
4 blocks to T intersection with Boulevard Ave. Turn left and drive north bearing right, now continuing onto 4th Ave, about ½ mile to Back Beach Park large parking area. GPS Meeting Place (41.0346, -74.2860)
