# Sunday Morning Class: Love vs Desire
with Gen Kelsang Demo
Sun, April 13
11:00 am - 12:15 pm
$5Buddha taught that love is the great protector. Both we ourselves and others are protected by love from harmful actions and suffering, and a loving heart inspires us to treat others with consideration and kindness. However, our love is often mixed with attachment, which makes us possessive, anxious and easily hurt. Come explore Buddha’s wisdom teachings on how to discern the difference between the two & discover methods to weaken our attachment while strengthening love.

Often the appearances of daily life take us away from our spiritual insights and wisdom understanding the nature of things. Leading us to grasp more tightly at mistaken ways of relating to ourself, other people and the world around us and developing delusions, unbalanced mental states that make us feel unpeaceful & uncontrolled. The great Indian Buddhist Master Nagarjuna gave practical yet profound instructions on how to apply Buddha's teachings on ultimate truth or emptiness, to the appearances of daily life, thereby helping us integrate wisdom into all aspects of life, both in & out of meditation.
Through training in Nagarjuna's ultimate intention our meditation on emptiness will be very powerful in eliminating our delusions. Our mind will become balanced and peaceful and we’ll quickly progress along the path to enlightenment.
In this special weekend course, Gen Kelsang Demo will lead us into a deeper understanding of the meditation on the view of the middle way as presented by Nagarjuna. After receiving these very blessed instructions, you will then be guided in retreat by Gen Kelsang Lingpur, in order to gain direct experience for yourself of the meditation on the union of appearance and emptiness.
