What we’re about
Huntsville Flow&Grow is a welcoming and inclusive community of people practicing movement arts with props, such as fans, hoops, clubs, and staves, collectively known as “flow arts”. Through flow, we embrace connection with ourselves and the people around us as we gather to share in the joy of radical self-expression. We organize free events for people of all ages to make friends and find community by practicing movement arts together. We'd love to have you join us, so Come Flow With Us!

Come join our juggling and flow arts community for some friendly social practice time in the park! Beginners are very welcome - most of us have loaner props, so all you need to bring is your willingness to try something new!
(Meetup wants me to pay money to post more events, and I'm not doing that. Just know that this is a weekly meetup that happens every single Monday. Check out our Facebook group for more details, or visit https://www.huntsvilleflowandgrow.org/!)
What is Flow Arts?
Flow arts is a general term used to describe the intersection of a variety of movement-based disciplines including dance, juggling, fire-spinning, and object manipulation. The broad category flow arts includes a variety of pursuits that harmonize skill-based techniques with creative expression to achieve a state of present-moment awareness known as "flow".
Common forms of flow arts include poi & staff spinning, hula hoop (or “hooping”), juggling, sphere manipulation (or “contact juggling”), and fan dance. New props and expressions are emerging all the time as flow artists cross pollinate with martial arts, yoga, circus, belly dance, and beyond.
