Our monthly Mostly Waltz social dance:
We invite you to a Sunday afternoon of dancing to beautiful live music. In addition to the waltzes (about 2/3 of the program), the program includes other couple dances, such as swing, tango, blues, polka/one-step, schottische, etc. Come with or without a partner--our dancers love to mingle, so getting dance partners isn't a problem. Are you a beginner? No problem, there's a basic waltz lesson before every. We're usually at Felinton Hall in Broomall, but not always, so be sure to check our schedule for the location for each date. Your choice of pre-dance lessons, at an intermediate or basic level are included with $15 admission (students $7.) Dancing to Live Music, starting with a waltz mixer from 3:30 - 6pm. Waltz, Swing, Tango, etc lessons:
In addition to our pre-dance lessons at our Sunday afternoon events, we often teach classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings in the Chestnut Hill & Mt. Airy sections of NW Phila. Class size is limited to maximize individual attention, and registration is reasonably lead/follow balanced. In addition to steps & moves, we focus extensively on partnering dynamics - and fun! The Social dance: waltzing and other couple dances.
3:30 - 6:00:Sliding Scale admissions: Students/Limited budget: $10, Regular Admission: $15, Supporter: $20. You may pay any amount within the scale. Regular admission helps us to break even on this event. Supporters help others come to the dance and allows us to pay our musicians closer to what they are worth.
We provide Kosher snacks at the break. Vaccines and masks are optional. See full Covid protocols

We typically meet once a month on a Sunday afternoon.

The program features lots of waltzes-- fast, slow and in between. Other couple dances (swing, tango, blues, polka, schottische etc., ) comprise about one-third of the program. The first dance, which is optional, is an easy waltz mixer. Our dance is all about having fun and dancing (or learning how to dance) in pleasant company. COME AND JOIN US!!!
Dress is casual, but nice. We suggest layered clothing that can be shed when you become warmed up. We also recommend lightweight shoes with a sole that can slide and rotate without being too grippy.
