What we’re about
In 2025, women account for a mere 25% of tech roles. Women represent half of the workforce yet only 27% of the STEM workforce is women. The percentage of female STEM graduates is about 19%. Unfairness-based turnover costs tech companies $16 billion per year. Only 37% of tech startups have at least one woman on the board of directors.
It's these statistics and many more that inspired us to create a group for Women in Technology in Houston, Texas. Our mission is to drive diversity in the tech industry and empower current and future generations of women to succeed.
We accomplish this through keynote sessions, meetup roundtable discussions, social networking events, peer support and mentorship.
This group is for women who work in the tech industry in any capacity and live in Texas.
