What we’re about

Welcome to The Hot Choc Mob! We're a friendly group of volunteers who meet regularly to engage with the homeless community on the streets of London. Our purpose is to interact with rough sleepers and other vulnerable members of society, while providing hot drinks, food, clothing and a chat!
Our main objective is to create a little warmth in the lives of people whose daily existence can be a struggle. We seek to approach all those we meet with an open-minded spirit of empathy and solidarity, and are not affiliated with any charity or religious ideology.
The Hot Choc Mob's meetups involve going out in small groups, led by one of our walk leaders, for an hour or so, during which we share the provisions we have and talk with/listen to those we meet.
And afterwards, we like to regroup at a local pub for a catch-up!
Given the large number of participants, we sometimes have a waiting list. While we’d love to include everyone, we need to keep our groups small to create a welcoming atmosphere, as large groups can be overwhelming for vulnerable individuals. So, if you’re hoping to join, please be aware that only those confirmed on the ‘going’ list can attend the meetups. For those who end up on the waiting list, we truly appreciate your patience and encourage you to keep trying as we do go out regularly!
If you’d like to bring items for the people we meet, water or juice in bottles, soft fruit or packaged fruit cups, tinned sardines and mackerel (that don’t need a tin opener), new socks, boxer shorts, and t-shirts are all very much appreciated!
We hope you’ll consider joining us and look forward to seeing you on a mobbing soon! If you have any questions, you can message Lynn on 07970983340.
If you'd like to help out, but can't make our outings, we do have an Amazon Wishlist with the items we need most at The Hot Choc Mob Amazon Wishlist
