What we’re about
This group is all about hiking, taking walks around town, and then afterward have a place to gather and eat delicious food. The theme will be to have a weekly walk and a weekend hike. I plan on having hikes around various places around New Braunfels. This group is not for hardcore hikers, but for people who want to walk a bit and meet new people. I typically schedule about 6 to 7 events a month and sometimes more.
Photos are encouraged, so please post a headshot of yourself and without sunshades. It is kind of hard to recognize who you are if you are wearing shades. Photos allow people to know who you are and make for a better atmosphere.
Please be on time as we might start the hikes without you and once we get moving it's difficult to pinpoint our location.

I will monitor attendance, and anybody with three or more no shows will be removed. Too many times when I have a waiting list people who are on the going list no show, and this prevents people on the waiting list from going. So please change your RSVP if you are not going.
Also, another issue I have noticed is that people change their RSVP last minute to no. Anybody who is moved up to the waiting list with this little notice will not be able to attend since it takes time to drive to an event. So for events that have a waiting list, I will mention a specific time you need to change your RSVP to a No. Typically this will be within an hour from the start time of the event. Anybody who does not change their RSVP within the time I mention will be considered a no show.
Overall I just want people who are more reliable and more serious about participating in the group. I put a lot of time into this and unfortunately just asking people nicely to not no show doesn't work.
