Spring Weekend Camping; Lake Ashroe in Stokes State Forest

Someone beat me to the Memorial Day weekend reservation, so I booked the following weekend.
This campsite has private bathrooms and showers on site. There are also multiple picnic tables, grills and fire rings. Parking is adjacent to the camp site in a dedicated lot.
We can hike right from the campsite There are plenty of trails nearby.
As you can guess from the location, the campsite is right on Lake Ashroe, so offers easy access for paddling activities. Bring your kayaks, canoes or paddle boards. Stokes does offer kayak and paddleboard rentals on Saturdays and Sundays. Kayaks and paddleboards are $10 an hour, a tandem kayak is $15 per hour. The launch site is next to our group site. Information is available at the park office, or you can reserve ahead by calling 973-948-3820. Swimming is technically not permitted, but other lakes nearby in Stokes may have swimming available.

You can locate the campsite using the folowing directions:
Drive north on Rt 206, turn left on to Struble Rd. Look for parking lot on left after 1/2 mile; that is the outer parking lot for day visitors. Drive down the dirt road to the inner parking lot next to the campsite.
More details will be forthcoming, but the cost per person will be $10 plus two bags/stacks of firewood. You can via Zelle (my phone number is 908-217-6257) or via Venmo (@Christopher-Kunz-13). If you need to pay by cash or check for some reason, you must make arrangements with me beforehand. Firewood is available at the main park office during normal business hours. If you need firewood after 4 pm, you can purchase bundles from the park by phone and pick it up at the park office after hours. You can also purchase bagged firewood at most hardware stores and supermarkets. IMPORTANT! I must be paid (or arrangements made at least 14 days prior). If I don't hear from you, in any way, I will assume you will not be attending and I may take you off the "going list" I will remind about this a number of times.
