Length: 0.75 mi loop
Total ascent: 200 ft apprx
Difficulty: Natural surface; some short steep sections & steps.
Walking stick recommended.
Drive time: 20 min/20 mi (1-way) via Hwy 25s

Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
This event is NOT for beginners or those with health or balance issues.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. Obstreperous raucous yawping is discouraged.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT WALK. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Dogs (and Masters) required to be ‘on-leash'...
DESCRIPTION;
Remember - hikes led by ‘the Curmudgeon’ tend to have challenging surprises.
Leroy Smith Nature Trail is the first trail built at Pleasant Ridge Park. This 0.58 mile trail offers access to Pleasant Ridge Falls as well as access to the fishing lake; via the Leroy Smith Lake Trail .03 miles. This trail is accessible from shelter#1 parking and is a loop trail that ends near where it begins.
Wild flowers; Creeping Cedar; Partridge berry; violets; Little Brown Jug, Crane Fly orchid.
All walks are at your own risk. You are responsible for your OWN safety and adequate equipment.
