Harford County Public Library’s 2026 Game Changers Business Speakers Series, featuring Dr. Anirban Basu, chairman & CEO of the Sage Policy Group, Inc. will take place at 8 AM on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at the Abingdon Library. Dr. Basu will discuss 2026’s key economic trends, including interest rates, global and regional shifts, labor and wage dynamics, business confidence, demographic changes, and a forecast tailored to local stakeholders. Individual tickets are $60.

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Mobile Van
Harford County Public Library: Jarrettsville, 3722 Norrisville Road, Jarrettsville, MD, USThe staff of the Upper Chesapeake Mobile Van work to promote wellness by sharing information on health topics, as well as making a range of preventative screenings accessible to the community. This month’s focus is on hand washing.
Testing for blood pressure, sleep disorder, body composition analysis, diabetes, and stroke are available free of charge. There is a nominal fee of $10 for Cholesterol and A1C checks. For more information, please contact Upper Chesapeake at 800-515-0044.
