Walking Tour of the National Mall in Washington, DC
Come join HCPG on a sunset adventure at the D.C National Mall on Sunday January 12th.

Please read carefully as this trip will be broken up into 2 parts (Indoor/Outdoor) since the National Mall is just too much to cover for the timeline.

Meeting location at 2:00pm - inside of the Washington Monument Lodge (15th St NW, Washington, DC)

2:05-4:00 pm will be (Indoors) at the Smithsonian Museum of your choice. Give yourself time to walk from museum of your choice to the WWII Memorial by 4pm. **Note: Museums do not allow Tripods/Monopods or flash photography. Photography may be prohibited altogether in some areas/museums, so pay attention to signs or ask to be sure.
4:00pm - regroup at the WWI Memorial (17th Street Entrance area)
4:05-6:00pm (Outside): We will cover the following areas:
• Washington Monument
• WW II Memorial
• Reflecting Pool/ Vietnam Memorial
• Lincoln Memorial/ Korean War Memorial
• Martin Luther King Memorial/Tidal Basin
6:00pm: Members can depart or continue to stay and photograph.

Bring your tripods and ND filters (for those extra long exposures) but keep in mind that tripods/monopods and flash photography will not be permitted to use in the museums.

*Dress accordingly as this will be a rain or shine event. Adjustments will be made based on the weather conditions. *

Each person responsible for dinner on their own or coordinate with group. Food trucks available.
