What we’re about
Starting in Spring!
Are you a woman who enjoys walking outside at night and do you like the thought of doing so with a group of women in different parts of the HRM? Perhaps you’d even like to lead a group of women on a trail or on the streets in your neighborhood. If so, this group is for you!
The night walks will likely vary in distance, time, and terrain. To join the walks, you must be a member of the group and registered for the specific walk you wish to attend. It’s each walker’s responsibility to prepare appropriately for the walks based on weather and trail/sidewalk conditions. Given that it’s winter currently, a headlamp or flashlight, reflective wear, good winter footwear, and ice cleats may be necessary. Some of our walks could be a snowshoe event if we have enough snow. You may also wish to have a bottle of water or a snack on hand.
** Out of consideration for your fellow walkers, please do not smoke/vape during these walks.**
I’d like to gauge initial comfort level with having leashed dogs join their humans for these night walks and will make a group rule based on this input.
