Camping Weekend to Explore the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area

We'll use Worthington State Forest Campsite as our base to explore the NJ side of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. If you don't camp you can show up for the events that I will post separately.

It's my first time in this part of the park so I want to explore a little. We will drive Old Mine Rd, explore Buttermilk Falls, hike to Catfish Fire Tower and possibly checkout Tillman Ravine on Saturday. Sunday after we tear down camp we could take a 7.5 mile 1600ft hike out of the campground that will include Sunfish Pond and Mt Mohican. Kayaking on Sunday is another option. There will be nightly campfire socials.

Campsites are $25/night and most can accommodate 6 people, 3 tents and 2 cars. Extra cars are $5/night. I have site #63. This event is cross-posted with Day Hikers of Central PA.
