What we’re about
A group created for drum circle and drumming enthusiasts in the Greater Lansing, Michigan area to network, plan, and share drumming events, to have fun, and to connect with each other. We host a weekly drum circle that meets on Sundays from April or May through October at Lake Lansing Park North or Lake Lansing Park South and in the cold weather at various locations in the Greater Lansing Area.
The Greater Lansing Area Drummers is an all-inclusive group that warmly welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, races, religions, spiritual beliefs, genders, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. We strive to create a safe and respectful environment for all participants. Families and children are also encouraged to join us.
Having a musical background is NOT a requirement! Even if you have never drummed or played an instrument before, we will walk you through the basics to get you started on your drumming journey. We also have a variety of instruments to share, so even if you don’t have a drum or percussion instrument, we have you covered!

Starting on Sunday, January 5th, 2025, we will be meeting weekly at the Bath Community Center, 5959 Park Lake Rd, Bath Twp, MI 48808. As always, this is a free, family friendly event and all ages and experience levels (including no experience!) are welcome to attend. Bring your hand drums, percussion instruments, and get ready to have some fun and make a little noise! Extra instruments will be available.

Spring is finally here, and it is outdoor drum circle season once again! Join us every Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm at Lake Lansing Park North (weather permitting) for a fun and energetic afternoon of rhythm and drumming with the Greater Lansing Area Drummers! To find us, go past the main entrance gate and booth off of E. Lake Drive, stay to the left, go past the fire pit and shelter area - we will be meeting a little further down the driveway on the grassy area by the parking lot and near the restrooms. As always, this is a free, family friendly event and all ages and experience levels (including no experience!) are welcome to attend. Bring your hand drums, percussion instruments, invite your friends, and come and get your groove on! Extra instruments will be available. Remember to also bring your own chairs, bug spray, sunscreen, and water or other hydrating beverages. Let’s drum together!
