Gotham Rock Choir, NYC's first non-auditioned community choir devoted to Pop, Rock & Soul music, is accepting new singers of all skill levels for its new season! Kick off the summer singing with NYC's coolest choir and gearing up to make your off-Broadway debut in August at our next concert!
Rehearsals are once a week, on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 PM. Please be sure that you're available for this day and time each week.
Our repertoire includes an eclectic mix of pop, rock and soul tunes from the 60s to today by artists such as Queen, Bon Jovi, Britney Spears, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles and loads of others. We tend to focus primarily on well-known hits that will get our audiences out of their seats! Music-reading skills and previous choral experience are not required--all you need is a good ear and a passion for singing!
Many solo/small group opportunities for especially talented vocalists, including our Cabaret evenings, which feature our members performing their own favorite songs in small groups.
Gotham Rock Choir has sung in the national tour of Broadway's "Rocktopia" with Dee Snider (lead singer of Twisted Sister) and Constantine Maroulis ("American Idol"). Other credits include NBC's "Today Show," and backing up multi-platinum recording artists The Tenors at their annual holiday show at Town Hall.
See our website at GothamRockChoir.com for more info on joining the choir!
