Local Walk: Three Counties around Sheepy Magna

Brand new route, in open countryside near Tamworth Staffordshire, despite being in Leicestershire and near the Warwickshire border, so only a short drive from our main conurbation. Perhaps we will meet some gigantic sheep, as the village name suggests?

Logistics:
Meet: 10:20 for prompt 10:30 start.
Distance: Just over 10 miles
Start Point: By bus stop opposite Black Horse Inn, B4116 (Main Road) Sheepy Magna, CV9 3QS
Parking: Plenty of free off-road street parking in the vicinity
Terrain: Woodland, pastureland, quiet villages, minimal ascent.
Refreshments: Bring fluids & picnic lunch for midway, and there will be a pub stop at around two-thirds distance

As with any outdoor activity, there is some inherent risk. Whilst we aim to avoid unnecessary risks, participants should take all reasonable precautions themselves. A suitable pace for the walk will be determined by the walk leader, which others must observe by keeping in visible distance, not forging ahead or lagging behind. Those attending are totally responsible for their own safety. You must be comfortable walking the specified distance in order to attend please.
