Pub Crawl: Get Leathered in Lichfield (part 2)

Details
The Best Pubs & Bars of Lichfield
Following on from 2024's Midsummer treat, we will spend another whole afternoon sampling fine ales and ciders and wines, etc, and socializing at our leisure in the very accessible elegant cathedral city of Lichfield. And we have some new bars we may visit.
Arrive by train or bus, and we will spend an hour in each of several great pubs around the town centre, which are between 1 minute and 10 minutes apart on foot. The more the merrier!
Meet 11:00 - 11:55 at The Acorn (18 Tamworth Street, WS13 6JJ)
Pub1 12:00 - 12:55
Pub2 13:00 - 13:55
Pub3 14:00 - 14:55
Pub4 15:00 - 15:55
Pub5 16:00 - 16:55
(and possibly Pub6 17:00 - 17.55)
We will gather THE ACORN (Wetherspoons, which opens before 11am and serves breakfasts) to allow for time variations in our public transport over a coffee or a pint, with a view to starting our good-pub tour at Midday.
Some other pubs we may visit include:
The Whippet (Tamworth Street) **
W.I.P (Tamworth Street) **
The Beacon (Tamworth Street) **
Beerbohm (Tamworth Street) **
The Duke Of York (Tamworth Street)
The Angel (Market Steet)
The Horse and Jockey (Sandford Street) **
The Bitter Suite (Upper St John Street) **
55 Wade Street (Wade Street)
The Bowling Green (Friary Road)
Trinity Brew Co Taproom (Essington Close) **
Kings Head (Bird Street)
Queens Head (Queen Street)
George and Dragon (Beacon Street) **
Brewhouse & Kitchen (Bird Street)
( NB: The **stars** represent our more likely choices! )
Food is available at some, and snacks at others, but we are taking in a few micropubs, so not all have food. Please note that we won't announce the exact running order in advance, to maintain flexibility and to discourage joining and leaving at odd times, which should maintain the social dynamic of a fully-attended event, and avoid disruption looking for people repeatedly. So please arrive somewhere between 11am and 11:55am (which allows plenty of leeway) and then stick with us.
Transport
Public Transport is strongly recommended, to avoid driving. Options include (a) Trains from Birmingham (b) X3 bus from Birmingham via Erdington and Sutton Coldfield (c) 8 bus from Walsall (and Aldridge or Brownhills) which connect with the 937 from Birmingham (d) X65 buses and trains from Tamworth (and Atherstone or Nuneaton)
Attendance:
This event will proceed subject to viability of numbers committed to attending. As with all events, please RSVP courteously, which means that no-shows and withdrawals in the last 24 hours are not appreciated. Thank you for your understanding.
