Glasgow Kiltwalk - The Big Stroll!

Details

Join the Glasgow Young Walkers Team for the Big Stroll Glasgow Kiltwalk in support of FARE Scotland Grassroots Charity. The walk starts at Clydebank and follows the River Clyde up through Dumbarton and ends at Loch Lomond Shores at Balloch

FARE Scotland are a small grassroots charity who work in disadvantaged communities across Glasgow and the West of Scotland who aim to tackle poverty, through community innaitives and development opportunities.
Recently they have been attacked by vandels and fire has damaged their community allotment which has affected their community and they are running a campaign to get funds to restore and repair it and this is a cause that is close to my heart.

Meeting point: Clydebank Train Station
Meeting time: 10:00am
Distance: 14.3 miles
Duration: 4-6 hours
Terrain: Mixed: Pavements, formal paths in parks and roadside. Potential rougher paths in woodland.

Getting there:
By Car: there is not any parking at the starting point of the walk, but there is parking at Loch Lomond Shores and you can park there and get the train back into Glasgow city centre and then out towards Clydebank train station.

By public transport: Clydebank train station is the closest to the starting point, trains run from Glasgow Queen Street towards Clydebank, but you will need to make changes at Hydnland for the train towards Dalmuir.

There is no limit to the amount of people who can attend this walk, but there is an entry fee of £20 to take part in the Big Stroll and the need to do a bit of fundraising, of any amount you want. If we get enough people and all put in a £10 each we could have upwards of £500, but there is no limit on the amount.

I'll be setting up a Just Giving team page to raise the funds!

Any questions please ask! Looking forward to walking with you!
