A group for anyone interested in making their own films in the Glasgow area or for those who want to help others.

What the group is
We are assembling a group of filmmaking enthusiasts in Glasgow. This is a group for the like-minded to meet, socialise and discuss film projects.
Who it is for
Beginners, enthusiasts, newbies, old hands, veterans and others; all are welcome.
The key attribute we all have in common is wanting to be involved in filmmaking in some way.
No prior experience is required. You may simply have an ambition to get involved somehow.
Everyone is welcome
Age is no barrier, the organisers are mature so it is not just young things or people starting out.
Not all of us got encouragement to follow our dreams when growing up. But if you find the filmmaking dream is always there and has never quite gone away that is a sign you must act upon it. You must at least try.
This is the spirit of the group. Everyone is creative in some form, and it can be difficult to find an outlet, especially if you are working a job or have other responsibilities.
Perhaps this group could be the outlet you seek.
People may be working on a project and would greatly value your help or assistance. Others may aspire to make films but lack enough friends or family to make a crew. You could join forces with them.
Future ambitions
As a group we are hoping to see the emergence of many different types of films:
- Simple short films
- Complex short films
- Full-length films
Everything and anything counts.
Early days, so no meetings arranged
This group is new, so we are focusing on establishing members first. Once we have enough we will ask people where and when we can meet that works for most.
The goal is to meet once or twice per month in Glasgow city centre for a few hours. Details to follow.
