"Transitland API"
Ian Rees, Ph.D. / Principal at Interline Technologies
Ian will provide an in-depth introduction to the inner workings of the Transitland API. In the Bay Area, the Transitland API aggregates data from over 30 public agencies to map buses, trains, streetcars, ferries, and even cable cars. They now have a global presence with data for 50+ countries.

Ruggero Tacchi, Ph.D. / Data Science Manager at Mapbox
Ruggero will delve into the details and challenges of determining ETA for transit and ride-share vehicles. The Telemetry team at Mapbox uses anonymous sensor data to improve maps, directions, and travel times.
