What we’re about

Hello there! We want to extend a warm welcome to our free community-based Sahaja Yoga meditation sessions. We are commencing a new session starting on 7th March, this year at the Harris Park Community Centre, 11 Albion Street.
The timings are every Friday from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, there are also other classes available and are also available across Sydney or throughout Australia. Please refer to the link here for more information (http://www.freemeditation.com.au/class_work...)

We all are volunteers and have many years of experience in offering free Sahaja Yoga meditation classes. The classes are designed to help, those attending, achieve a genuine state of meditation (thoughtless awareness) which can be felt tangibly. Getting into this state is quite effortless and spontaneous with the awakening of your residual energy. Sahaja Yoga classes are always free of charge.
These classes will help you achieve a state of balance, making them perfect for seekers trying to establish their state of yoga (union). It follows a very simple technique for all age groups encompassing the most basic principles and helps in :
- reducing stress
- increasing wellness and
- becoming a more balanced personality
Founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Sahaja Yoga Meditation is a worldwide movement for achieving self realisation and peace. All the classes are free of any charge. Each week we go through a guided meditation that gets you accustomed with the simple technique and enables its practice at home. We also share tips on how to stay in balance during the day and how to meditate at home. The meditation is based on becoming aware of the chakras (energy centres) and bringing the subtle system into balance. The tradition and aims of the meditation are explained, which in essence is to be in the present, not the past or future.
Occasionally there are 1 day retreats to help those interested deepen their individual experience and hear advice and tips from those who have been practicing for some time. It’s ultimately all about getting into ‘thoughtless awareness’, a natural state of being.
We hope you come and enjoy this experience, and gain that state of well being.
