If you’re in the area or fancy a scenic, adventure-filled escape with great company, come along for one (or all!) of these epic hikes!
Event Description:
Our main hike of the weekend! Meet us at Bowden Bridge Car Park (SK22 2LJ) and set off on a bold 15 km journey to Kinder Plateau, the Peak District’s highest point at approx., 650m.
Embark on a captivating circular hike through the heart of the Peak District, ascending to the expansive moorland plateau of Kinder Scout. This route offers a blend of challenging terrain and serene landscapes, leading you past the dramatic Kinder Downfall—the region's tallest waterfall, known for its unique phenomenon where, under strong westerly winds, the water is blown back upon itself. Traverse a mix of grassy paths and stone trails, with panoramic views that showcase the natural beauty of Derbyshire. Along the way, you'll encounter historical landmarks and diverse ecosystems, making this hike a rewarding experience for both seasoned walkers and enthusiastic newcomers.
Expect a full day of fresh air, jaw-dropping scenery, and shared adventure on this breathtaking moorland loop.
