One of the Beautiful Hiking Trail outside Madrid. San Rafael is famous for all time green mountains ( covered by pine tress) with many hiking trails and small Rivers. The most interesting part is Refugio de cueva valiente. A very well restored refuge with incredible views with Altitude 1.915m from the sea level and There are many remains of the civil war.
Note: We will be going and coming back to Madrid on the same day. we will try to enjoy the maximum of this lovely hiking trail. This time come with enough food because we will have enough time to do picnic in the middle of nature. we will go with normal pace, taking breaks for photos and snacks. At the end of hike we will go to a Local bar for Drinks.

Leaving Madrid: 10:08am
Coming back to Madrid: we will take the train at 19:15pm and we will reach to Madrid 20:30pm Aprox.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ How to get there.
We will meet at underground cercanías train station at Nuevos Ministerios. Platform Number 1 at 9:45am. the trian is leaving at 10:08 am. Please buy your ticket online from Renfe website. Link: https://www.renfe.com/es/en/experiences . our Departure station will be Nuevos miniterios, and distination station will be San Rafael.

Both ways (Roud Trip) ticket cost is 14.80€.

People with Abono joven or Zone C2 Card Holders : You need to buy Ticket from Cerdedilla to San Rafael. Roud trip cost will be 4€.

Our Train (Renfe) line is C8 and this train will pass by, Chamartin, Ramon y Cajal, Pitis, Villaalba and cercedilla Station. so you can join us from your nearest cercanias Station. if you will joining us from different stations please check and confirm the train arrival timing by own. if someone miss the train, it will be not our responsibility and we will not wait.

BY CAR: You can come by Car. meet us at San Rafael Cercanias Station at 11:30am. Google maps: bit.ly/40Drg9R This station has own large Parking Area. if you want to share your car and fuel charges, please mention your whatsapp number, pickup point and departure time in the chat of this event.

We will start the hike after breakfast or just a coffe at the town of San Rafael. It is necessary to bring hiking shoes, Comfy clothes with warm jacket, winter cap, sun glasses in the backpack in case the weather get Chilly ( Normally Segovia is colder than Madrid). Come with Summer Cap, Sun Glasses, Sun protection Cream. Your lunch, Snacks and 1.5L water (minimum).
in case of rain please come with rain Jacket.

New hiking trial at san juan. we will explore the stunning San Juan Reservoir which is often considered as Madrid´s main beach. The hike is ranked as Medium Level, no longer than 14km and will mainly go alongside the reservoir coast line.

Difficulty: Medium Level
Hike Type: one way (Going and coming by same trail)
Maximum altitude: 750m.
Elevation change: 450m.
Total distance: 10km
Estimated Event Duration: 5-6 hours (depending on pace and stops)
Leaving Madrid: 9:10am
Coming back to Madrid: 18:00 or 19:00pm

By Bus: We are meeting outside of the metro station (Cuatro vientos) You can reach to Cuatro vientos by metro line 10. Meeting point is just out side of the station, please take Paseo de extremadura exit. Meeting time 9:00am. if someone get late, Sorry we will not wait. our bus number 551 will be leaving at 09:15am.
One way on the bus cost is 5,10€. Abono joven and people with Transport card C2 can travel for Free.
Please bring change or a 5€ bill for the bus driver. Bus Driver not Accepting Card Payments, Only Cash.

• Hiking shoes or sneakers. Trainers/tennis shoes are ok for this hike.
• A small backpack for your stuff
• 1,5L of water or other soft drinks per person. PLEASE DON´T BRING LESS, as there are no fountains nor any water point in the whole route.
• Your lunch
• Sunscreen & sunglasses
• A hat or a cap.
• Warm jersey.

This is Our new Hiking trail, Which start from Pedrezuela town and ending at the beautiful Town Guadalix. 60% of our walk will be next to the water reservoir of both Towns. most of the way you will feel like walking on the beach. The paths are wide and covered by many kind of trees. Check fotos in description of this Trail.

Difficulty: Medium Hard ( it is not that hard but long, that's why we consider it Medium Hard ).
Total Distance: 18Km.
Type of Route: one way.
Maximum altitude: 943m.
Elevation change: 282m.
Leaving Madrid: 09:40am
Coming back to Madrid: 5 or 6pm

We are meeting at (Intercambiador de Plaza Castilla) underground Bus Station of Plaza de castilla.
Terminal -1, Dársena 36, Bus Number 193 (Bus to Pedrezuela) at 09:20AM for the 09:40AM departure.
One way cost 5,10€ and you pay to the bus driver. The bus does not accept card payment. You have to bring change of 5€ or 10€. If you have abono joven then the bus trip is Free.

BY CAR: Sorry no Private cars this time because the start point and the end point of the hike are NOT the same.

Full sleeve t shirt, long trouser, Sneakers or Hiking shoes, your Lunch and 1.5L water (minimum). Snacks, Sun protection Cream, sun glasses and a light jacket or jersey. if you have Camera then this is the perfect spot to take photos.

Miraflores de la Sierra is one of the charming town near Madrid, perfact for the hiking routes while enjoying nature. The port of La Morcuera is a mountain pass 1796 meters above sea level, located in the Sierra de Guadarrama within the Community of Madrid. It is the third highest port in the Madrid region. From the port you can see Madrid from the south Side, beautiful views of the mountains, waterfalls that come from the high mountains and peaks of more than 2,000 meters such as Cabezas de Hierro and La Najarra. At our lunch Spot, We all will enjoy The Most beautiful panoramic view of Peñalara.

IMPORTANT: (This hike is not recommended for basic and initial hikers).

We will start our hike after a coffee at Miraflores Town. at the end of hike we will go for the Drink.

Maximum altitude 1,776 m.
Minimum altitude 1,149 m.
Elevation change: 620m.
Leaving Madrid: 9:30am
Bus Journey: 1 Hours Aprox
Coming back to madrid (Bus Leaving Time from miraflores): 17:00 or 18:00pm
The path is not very difficult, except for the last kilometer before reaching the Puerto de Morcuera.
