What we’re about
Good Day.
If you are new to cycling or just getting back to your childhood love this is the club for you. We exist to train and prepare people new to cycling to get on the road and onto their cycling goals. We are a never drop ride. We will never let you linger by yourself. We ride as a group together and we grow together. We help each other achieve our cycling goals. If you want to race later and join one of the racing clubs we can help you with that as well.
The DMV has a slew of various trails and roads that are very accommodating to new cyclist. When navigated safety and cautiously we can all ride alive and safely, that is our goal.
We typically start on the trails to work on cycling mechanics and then over time transition to the road. We will show you how to ride the roads in a healthy way to avoid getting injured or hurt., though we can prevent all accidents from occurring.
We ride very often so if you miss a ride no worries we have more rides during the week.
FUN- we ride for fun and enjoying the outdoors. We live in a beautiful area and we seek to take full advantage of it.
We accept all people regardless of gender, race, or identification. We explicitly do not discriminate from all people. We are one cycling community together.

COME TO HAVE FUN - Thank God I Bike Fridays with EORO and VVCCJafe Cycling Bike Shop, Bowie, MD
## Details
VELO VELO Cycling Club is joined again by Jafe Cycling and Each One Reach One (EORO) for another season of VVCC's "Thank God I Bike Fridays". We are also proud to announce the Soft Opening of Jafe Cycling new storefront.
Meetup is at 5:30p and on the pedals at 6:00p.
.Group D ride 12 - 15 Miles per Hour
. Jafe will be open for brief tours, pre-ride minor adjustments and accessories, if needed.
With the help and support of our EORO Cycling family we have two officially guided pace groups. EORO will be leading and sweeping the D group.
VVCC will lead the A/B & C group. If you get caught in between groups feel free to wait for the group behind. With the exception of flats, NO ONE IS LEFT BEHIND.
Rather than the typical free-for-all, this ride is governed by Lead Marshalls who controls the pace for the majority of the first half of the route. Speeds vary from 15-19mph on rollers to 20+mph on the flats. Not to worry, at no time will you be required to ride at the front to pull the group. For those that have the need for speed, there is a sprint section at Melford loop where you can test your fitness. Riders are allowed to go as hard or as easy as they like through this sections. There will be one official regroup Just past the Courtyard by Marriott on Science Dr. On the return, once we cross over rt.450 onto Millstream Drive, the lead Marshalls will break off allowing all to take the upcoming hills at their own pace.
*NEW THIS YEAR*
For the first time in TGIBF history there will be a separate " Chase The Pace Group". This group will be moving at 19+ mph with "NO" marshal controlled pace as with the main group. Also the CTP group will "NOT" have a regroup as so with the main group. CTP will be following the same route but will be leaving slightly before the Main group.
This is a 23.6 mile route through Bowie, MD. to Melford.
cue sheet:PACE:
A = 19+mph
B = 17-19mph
C = 15-17
