FACE-TO-FACE@HUMANIST HOUSE: MIDDLE-CLASS WELFARE IN THE NANNY STATE

NSW Humanist Meetup's FACE-TO-FACE@HUMANIST HOUSE discussion event 3pm Sunday 28 August 2022 will be titled MIDDLE-CLASS WELFARE IN THE NANNY STATE.

It'll be open season on government and political promises and policies, not to mention largesse and/or stinginess from all sides of politics and over roughly the period of the 21st century. Oh and then there's the smell of the pork-barrel, dodgy deals and breathtaking wastefulness.

We want you all from tax-shy libertarians to bleeding-heart liberals to radical socialists. But you'll be expected to work together. It'll be at its best when we all discuss one particular issue at a time, and range widely.

The plan is for a discussion so don't come intending to troll a single issue. And it's not about party politics or getting deep into ideologies. We like to hear your own ideas - humanists are expected to think for themselves. We'll try to manage anger, and have a bit of fun too.

Humanist House in Chippendale allows us to share ideas in a dedicated space, where we can all hear one another.
