Was looking for a group to explore Melbourne's theatre scene but couldn't find one so why not start my own?
Grabbing a solo ticket whenever you want to the latest show that you've been dying to see has it's perks, but it would be nice to pre-brief or debrief with others to share what you've seen in the past, which performer you're excited to see, what number really hit you in the feels, what you missed during a toilet break and what you're keen on seeing next.
Unless specified otherwise, you will be responsible for getting your own ticket to these events. You are free to share your exact seat location or general area if you're happy to sit next to or near other Meetup folk, it's up to you!
This group may cover not just musicals but any kind of live/recorded performance:
Plays, Opera, Symphony, Ballet, Comedy, Pop Concerts, Movie Musicals. I am in no way an expert on any of this so am always open to suggestions.
Most of the live performances will be centrally located in or close to Melbourne CBD. I'm in the inner north so there might be a movie event as far out as Coburg.
