What we’re about

Emotional Intelligence is about understanding and connecting to the emotions that are unconscious parts of our lives, yet have a big influence on us.  You will find great examples of people making changes at "https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwwNn3TeYxpBvvJtHVsY4lw".

Building Emotional Intelligence involves understanding our own and others responses, that are an integral part of being human.  The benefit of this is to allow us to make conscious choices in situations that were previously controlled by unconscious reactions.

With practice, by building Emotional Intelligence skills, we have greater ability to take the actions in our lives that we would love to take.  These skills give us greater ability to make life wonderful for ourselves and for others, in many ways.

The core of the sessions will be around identifying and connecting to our own feelings and needs and also those of others.  These two steps can be used in many different ways to uncover unconscious aspects of our lives and to build connections with ourselves and others.

This mini-workshop series will look at different aspects of Emotional Intelligence and provide exercises to practice skills during the sessions.

By building our Emotional Intelligence skills we can change our relationships and hopefully bring greater peace and stability to our relationships and our world.  This may seem an ambitious goal, yet it may be achievable.  There is an ex-teacher in Nepal who is teaching these Emotional Intelligence techniques and has been to over a thousand schools and his aim is to bring it to all schools in Nepal.  He resigned his teaching position to spread the awareness and skills in the hope of bringing peace to his country.

There will be exercises with other participants to reinforce the concepts and processes.  In doing these they provide ways of connecting with people that you may not experience very often.
