EVK was created for people who like Country and/or Swing dancing, and for those who want to discover the joy of it. Our membership has grown tremendously over the past 9 years. Seems something special is happening here!
We embrace dancers of all skill levels, from "brand new" to "advanced". We have established a culture that is warm and inviting and where everyone helps everyone out no matter what their skill level.
We strive for "excellence in all we do". That is part of what makes EVK special.
EVK meetups include:
Group Dance lessons: We have group lesson series that typically span a 4-week period. By the end of the series, you not only know the particular dance step being taught, but you also have gotten to know the people in your group.
Individual or Couples Dance Lessons: Private lessons for individuals or couples can also be arranged with our instructors. Also small groups and private parties. See below for the list of dance styles that you can learn.
"Country Rain™": This is our premiere event! It is more than a dance event; it is an "evening out". Each one has a unique theme; separate lessons for beginners and intermediates followed by an open dance. Special surprises sprinkled throughout the evening (e.g. raffles, dance mixers, contests, etc.). There's always something new to keep every event fresh and exciting.
"Special Events": Stay tuned for New Member welcome nights
"Dinner & Dancing": Some of the venues where we hold meetups also have good restaurants with wine tasting, happy hours before dancing, etc.

Line Dancing HD South- Gilbert Museum
Gilbert Historical Museum, 10 S. Gilbert Rd, Gilbert, AZ, USSorry, miscommunication. The Free night will be October 20 rather than the first class (due to HS's schedule)
Join us for a night of fun country line dancing at our upcoming event. Bring a water bottle, wear boots or leather bottom shoes are best. Tennis shoes are OK (dance socks are advisable) No sandals or flip-flops--too dangerous.Time to get our bodies moving to the rhythm of great Country, Motown, and Oldies music. It’s the most fun you’ll have while exercising your body and brain too!
Learn popular line dances such as Copperhead Road, Cowboi Boogie, Rita’s Waltz, Old Time Rock n Roll, All Shook Up and more. Registration is required.
Cost: $60 per 7-week session or $12 drop-in. You may pay for the series the first week of class through Zelle and Venmo or cash.
Line Dancing with Laina Lee at HD SOUTH. The program is Monday October 6th from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. When you arrive, please park in theGilbert Elementary School parking lot, which is just west of the museum, and enter the HD SOUTH campus through the WEST gate (see the map on your ticket). The program/workshop will be held in the Neely Community Room or Community Center located in the west end of the courtyard. Please keep your commitment, however if you are unable to attend, please let us know at marilynn@hdsouth.org or call 480.926.1577 Ext: 106. (Or text call Laina 480-707-2004)
Please be sure to park in the Gilbert Elementary school parking area which is just west of the museum off of Elliot Rd. Park close to the back of the museum and enter through the WEST gate. The Neely Room is the building on your right as you pass through the gate, and our new Community Center is on your left. Just past the bathrooms.Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, come out and kick up your boots with us on the dance floor. I will be leading line dancing lessons, ensuring that everyone has a great time while learning some new moves. Connect with others who share your love for dancing and enjoy a social night out in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
