
What we’re about
This is a group for people who love to cook as well as for those who are just learning. We offer cooking classes, farmers' market tours and farm excursions. Our pop-up cooking school is called The Field Kitchen, and we hold classes in professional kitchens and on farms throughout the Bay Area, with a specific focus in the East Bay. We are two culinary professionals who love to teach and bring people together over great food. About us: Frances Wilson is a seasoned food professional who taught the professional culinary program at the renowned Tante Marie’s Cooking School in San Francisco for more than ten years and now teaches at the Silverado Cooking School in Napa. Prior to that, she was the chef at Lalimes restaurant in Berkeley. Jen Knapp taught recreational classes and led private culinary events at Tante Marie’s Cooking School for 15 years, in addition to working as a private chef and caterer throughout the Bay Area. She is a certified master taster at Chefs Best, where she does sensory evaluation of consumer food and beverage products.
