Come join me as we venture back as part of the Trinity midday talks, Dublin's Hidden Histories series

Date: 29th of April
We will meet outside the entrance door of the Long Hub room at 11.45am, as the talk will start at midday.

Members interested in attending will need to adhere to the following:

When you RSVP, you will first go on the waiting list.
You will then be added to the Going List.
This is a ticket only event and is open to the public.
The Monto is infamous as Dublin's 18th century red light district, especially found in Joyce's' Ulysses.
On the 100th Anniversary of
it's closure, Near FM's Ciaran Murray is joined by Brian Singleton, professor in Trinity's School of Creative Arts to discuss how and sites like Gloucester Street Laundry on Sean McDermott Street, the last of the Magdalene institutions to be closed in 1996 to the houses 14-17 on Moore Street, where the first provisional government meeting took place in the last days of the 1916 Rising.
Performances by An Góilín Traditional Singing Club.
