Hi everyone. I’ve recently taken over from my friend Cyrus as organiser of this Meetup group. I’m posting here to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my plans for the group.
I’ve been a full time professional photographer for over 20 years, running a schools photography business, but when I’m not at work, I love to spend time out with my camera exploring the landscape. Some of you may already know me from Meetup, as my other passion is live music, and I run the Dublin Gigs group here.
My plan for this group is to pass on the skills I’ve learned over the years through paid workshops with groups of around 6 people. The workshops will be aimed at beginners to intermediate level photographers. I’m planning to run workshops in Ireland and Europe. You’ll need a DSLR or mirrorless camera with the ability to set the exposure manually. A tripod and neutral density filters would be very useful but not essential.
I’ll be posting new events looking for expressions of interest. Workshops will go ahead when we have the numbers required to make it viable. Payment will only be required at this stage.
