What we’re about
Drinking Skeptically Baltimore is an informal social event designed to promote fellowship and networking among skeptics, critical-thinkers, and like-minded individuals.
Drinking Skeptically Baltimore provides an opportunity for skeptics to talk, share ideas (and yes, drink) in a casual, relaxed atmosphere. We discuss the issues of the day and whatever else is on our minds. But most of all, we have fun while promoting skepticism, science, and rationality.
Don't drink? Don't let that stop you from joining us! Some of the world's most famous skeptics are teetotallers, and we are happy to have you!
Remember that drinking skeptically means drinking responsibly. If there's one thing science has taught us, it's the effects of alcohol on the human body.
Takes place the second Thursday of every month.
All events are crosslisted with Facebook, and other sites, so RSVPs on this site constitute a minority of RSVPs .

This is the Northern Baltimore County Edition at Inverness Brewing east of Monkton (not to be confused with the original Classic Edition on the second Thursdays, which is still ongoing).
How To Find Us
- When you first pull in to the driveway, make a note of the first building on your left. This is where the tap room is. Follow the signs to the parking area (behind the stables).
- Next, walk through/past the stable building.
- You may notice the stable restrooms on your left. Do not be fooled. These are not the restrooms you're looking for in step 6.
- ... then past the "food truck." (Optional detour for food and non-alcoholic beverages is now available.)
- ... and into the taproom. (Optional detour for alcoholic beverages is now available.)
- Near the bar in the taproom you'll see stairs going down to the restrooms. Go down the stairs, then left at the bottom of the stairs.
- In cold or inclement weather, we'll try to be downstairs from the taproom (turn left at the restrooms).
- In nice weather, we'll try to be just a few steps further near the fire pit (turn left at the restrooms, then go outside through the door down the wall on the right).
- If you can't find us, check back here for comments on the event with updates. There are lots of quiet places we could be hiding if it's unexpectedly crowded, such as...
- Upstairs from the tap room (loft on the opposite side of the building from the bar).
- The Stable Bar (back towards the parking area).
- Outside on the grounds... somewhere. "Marco!"
