Beach, Cliffs & Piers Walk

We're starting our 2025 season of walks with a local one, as requested, to get you warmed up with a gentle 4.5 miles along the coast. We set off from the Durley Chine Harvester pub, meeting at 10:15am. Meet by the map obelisk information board. What3words - ///hooked.took.puts

We'll amble along towards Bournemouth Pier, which has free admission this year, before continuing along the beach front to Boscombe Pier. For the return we will climb up to the clifftop, offering variety and better views out to sea. Likely stopping for a sandwich on the clifftop benches overlooking Boscombe Pier.

This walk is mostly flat with a few climbs. Rough route as indicated with potential for a few changes. Subject to sand on the beach, this should be mobility scooter friendly.

Toilets are all along the beach but do let someone know if you're stopping off so we don't leave you behind.

Parking is available on clifftop for free at Durley Chine, BH4 8AA, and local side roads. Paid car park in Durley Chine. 50 and 70 bus route passes end of road, M1 and M2 not too far beyond. Car sharing for those further afield is encouraged.

If you don't want to do the whole walk you can depart at Boscombe and get a bus.
