At one time, all human beings lived according to the seasons and natural transitions of nature. We knew that when the seasons shifted, the foods that were naturally available would be different.
There would be no raw greens in the winter time, so we bundled up and feasted on the bounty we had stored in the form of rich meat broths with roots and berries we had dried ourselves.
When spring came, we delighted in green shoots, flowers, fish and lighter fare.
