About the Talk
Can AI Understand Design? Brand as a Data Set.
Can artificial intelligence truly grasp what defines a design and differentiates a brand? Where does it create new opportunities and where does it reach its limits?
At KMS TEAM, we’ve partnered with the data engineering experts at bakdata to develop The Regular Brand – a platform that analyses brand systems using AI and Big Data. For the first time, it makes brand differentiation measurable and reveals whether a brand is truly unique or just another in the crowd. We’ll give you insights into the challenges we faced while developing the platform, explain how it works, and share key findings on industry standards from pharma, airlines, insurance, apparel, and beer.
About the Speaker:
David Kaipf, Creative Developer at KMS TEAM, brings together design expertise and technical skill to create compelling digital brand experiences. He studied Interactive Media at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, where his interest in bridging design and development first took shape. With a solid foundation in both UI design and frontend development, David takes a multidisciplinary approach to creative problem-solving. His early interest in emerging technologies led him to explore the potential of AI, and he now contributes as a member of KMS TEAM’s internal AI Specification Group.

About the talk
GenAI will undoubtedly change the way we work—that's for sure. There are optimistic scenarios that see GenAI as the holy grail of our profession, and there are also plenty of dystopian scenarios that describe how AI will take all our jobs and leave us unemployed. But neither extreme is likely to be the case. So what should our expectations be? What are the skills of tomorrow, and what will the role of UX/UI designers look like in the future? We will present three speculative scenarios to explore relevant questions for UX/UI designers today and discuss with you how you expect the future to look like.
