Free Walking Tour Schliersee

THIS IS NOT A HIKE!

Hello Everyone!

Come on and join us for a day trip to the charming village of Schliersee, a historical village in the Bavarian alpine foreland, not even an hour from Munich by train!

Schliersee is renowned not only for its stunning lake, breathtaking scenery, and outdoor activities but also for its deep-rooted culture and traditions. We'll meet at Schliersee station to begin our walk through the charming town, stopping at various historic buildings as we immerse ourselves in the rich atmosphere of this 1250-year-old farming village.

We will end the tour at the town hall's restaurant (Ratskeller), where we can enjoy traditional food, snacks an drinks together. After lunch, you can choose to take a leisurely walk around the lake, relax at a cozy café, and then catch the train back to Munich at your convenience.

Meeting Point 📍:
We’ll meet in front of Schliersee station at 10:00 AM. Look for me in a yellow jacket to easily spot me. The train leaves at Munich main station at 09:02 AM in front of platform 33. You need to hop on the very first train part that heads to Bayrischzell (NOT Lenggries and NOT Tegernsee). Get off the train at Schliersee (ETA 09:56 AM).

What to Bring:
- Shoes suitable for walking around 5km (mostly on asphalt but also field paths that can be muddy)
- Appropriate clothing (be prepared for being outside most of the time)
- Sunglasses
- Some snacks and water
- Cash (some shops don't accept card)
