Welcome to the London Cultureseekers Group!
If you're interested in exploring London's history & culture with other like minded people, then this is the only group you need to join! We are London's largest & most active cultural and history group!

Come along on Saturday 3rd May for a coach trip to some of the pretty coastal towns along the West Sussex coast!
About the day
West Sussex is officially the sunniest county in the UK! Its famous for the South Downs (a ridge of chalk hills), crossing it from east to west and its picturesque villages and small towns. Its name means 'land or people of the South Saxons'.The places we will be visiting are:
Going-by-Sea
Lying between the sea and the South Down's National Park, Goring-by-Sea boasts 2 miles of pristine pebble and sand beach. The name Goring is said to mean 'people of the wedge-shaped land' and the first community was established in Anglo Saxon times. The English Martyrs Catholic church in the town has a replica of the Sistine Chapel’s ceiling in Rome.Littlehampton
Littlehampton started off as a fishing port and is now a resort with a sandy beach. Between the town’s beaches lies the River Arun. The recent 2023 film 'Wicked Little Letters', was based on the real-life Littlehampton Libels, which it follows an investigation into the anonymous author of numerous crudely insulting letters sent to the residents of the seaside town in the 1920's.Bosham
The site has been inhabited since Roman times, and several important Roman buildings have been found including a possible temple, a small theatre and a mosaic. Bosham is mentioned by name in the Bayeux Tapestry, referring to the 1064 meeting of Harold and King Edward the Confessor. The Holy Trinity Church is a historic building of some note, dating back to the 8th century.Coach seating
