This event is for solo singers with piano or acoustic guitar accompaniment. The songs can be any genre of contemporary music (blues, jazz, folk, pop &c.). They can be covers or own compositions.

Similar to the piano events, this is an opportunity for singers to perform in front of a friendly audience in an authentic stage setting. Songwriters can try out new material. Singers can link up with accompanists and songwriters. As with the piano events, this is an event for all levels of musicians from learners up to professional singers.

The event will take place in the Etcetera Theatre which is above the Oxford Arms pub a 5 minute walk from Camden underground station. See the website for more details:

There will be time for up to 12 performers to sing two songs each. There is no obligation to perform; this can be decided on the day. There is space for 30 audience members in addition to the performers. If there are any singers looking for an accompanist for this event please post a comment here and give some information about your songs and the accompaniment you need (including whether it should be piano or guitar). It is up to performers to ensure they have the accompaniment they need on the day and that it has been prepared.

An electric piano will be available which has 88 weighted keys and a sustain pedal (a Korg Concert EC100H). Guitarists will need to bring their own acoustic guitars. There will be a microphone and amplifier. Singers can decide whether to use the microphone or not. The venue is relatively small (capacity 42 people) and the acoustics are good.

Cost: £ 4 for each performer. Audience members free. (This is a change from the first event. This seems to be a better way of covering the costs). Anybody who wishes to reserve a performer slot can pay the £ 4 in advance. Please let me know and I will send you my bank details. Alternatively, performer slots will go to those who turn up first on the day.

After the event, for those who have time, we will have a drink in the Oxford Arms downstairs.
