Getting started with Lakeflow & Announcing Automatic Publishing to Power BI

The Databricks Field Engineering Team is excited to present two topics at our upcoming Calgary Meetup hosted at the Capgemini office located on the 4th floor of Brookfield Place.

Getting started with Lakeflow Connect & Pipelines: Databricks Lakeflow, is a new solution that contains everything you need to build and operate production data pipelines. It includes new native, highly scalable connectors for databases like SQL Server and for enterprise applications like Salesforce, Workday, Google Analytics, ServiceNow, and SharePoint. Users can transform data in batch and streaming using standard SQL and Python. Databricks Lakeflow is native to the Data Intelligence Platform, providing serverless compute and unified governance with Unity Catalog.

Workflow: Automatic Publishing to Power BI: Earlier in the month Last, Databricks announced a new feature within Workflows to automatically publish to Power BI.

• Databricks Workflows now supports a new task type for Power BI
• Support for refreshing and updating Import/DirectQuery/Dual Storage modes semantic models
• The Power BI task natively integrates with Unity Catalog
