What we’re about

Looking back on what the group has been since the start of Covid I'd say its about these things:
1. Free an open discussion of what people are going through and see as the biggest challenges for society and for themselves.
2. Getting to know a group of people that want to listen to others who are different from them so as to get a better understanding of the world and get closer to some ideal strategy for living.
3. Practicing having friendly conflict. How do you discuss something important with someone so that first people understand each other and second minds might get changed, yours, theirs, or both? How does one practice sound thinking and how one frames an argument for it to land and make sense for someone that disagrees with it?
4. We have no core idealogical preconditions for anyone attending. There are regular attendees that are religious and non-religious, and left and right on the political spectrum.

Topics that I bring up are (actual topics are up to the attendees) ... Problems in politics, medicine, education, markets, culture, religion, ideas around Game B. The blurring of borders between science, religion, psychology, and AI, Common conversational practices like circling, insight dialog, authentic relating, steel manning, etc. Common topics found of podcasts (Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, John Vervaeke, Rebel Wisdom, Future Thinkers, full list with links here:

We currently have meetings online but after covid plan to have in-person events also.
I've created two polls for how and when to have events. If you want to attend regularly, please add your vote.
