What we’re about
If you have survived one or more situations where you faced violence or assault as a child, especially long term, and then again as an adult, you may be experiencing symptoms of CPTSD. This is the place to talk about what happened to you, share your struggle with trauma symptoms, and share resources that have helped you.
We all need practice being supported and giving support. Please avoid religious or political topics unless it specifically relates to your experience of trauma as in cult abuse, racist abuse, or human rights violations. If you wish to speak about your spiritual life in a personal way as it refers to your own path and journey that is also acceptable. Some participation is required. I have a no-spectators rule, which means you are required to at least introduce yourself briefly to the group, and state your intention in being in the group. You may leave your camera off or on for the duration of the meeting.
This group respects the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and autism. We respect ethnic diversity and know racism and bigotry still exist and cause trauma. We are all human beings here.
May all chains be broken and all spirits be free.
*Information shared in the meetings is confidential. We tell our own stories, and listen as others tell theirs. When the meeting is over, we each take our own stories with us, and leave each other's stories with them. Courage, confidentiality, and respect will be our guiding lights.
