What we’re about
CodeSLO is on a mission to teach the Central Coast to code. We work in partnership with local tech companies and educational organizations to offer classes in software engineering and we specialize in teaching beginners. All you need to get started is a laptop!
CodeSLO was founded in 2014 by Matt West, a professional software engineer. Our pool of mentors has included developers from SoCreate, MINDBODY, the County of San Luis Obispo, and many other organizations.
We've worked closely with the San Luis Obispo County Office of Education, the Ticket Into Tech program, and Cal Poly's WISH organization to offer classes for youth and adults. Many of our students have gone on to careers in software development.
